layers and masks how they work in photoshop

                         Today we talk about Layers and Masks and how to use them in photoshop 

Photoshop layers are like sheets of stacked acetate of tracing paper, you can see through transparent areas of the layer to the layers below 

How you can see you can put more of them

 Adding a new Layer Photoshop is an advanced photo editor; usually, it will create a new layer when we choose a new tool and start something drawing on it. For example, if we select the text tool and add some text to the image, it will add that text in a new layer.

you can move them up and down, change the opacity of the layer to make continent partially transparent,

Sometimes layers don't contain any apparent content, for example for example an adjustment layers holds colour or tonal adjustments that affect all layers below it. 

layers allow you to stack different graphics, images or adjustment, they provide a method by allowing you to creatively adjust your artwork 

Every layer you create they contain pixels that are not on any other layers, so in few words they are separate from others without them you are not able to create a lot of artworks that is possible with them in photoshop today     

they are different layers like layers mask, fill or  adjustment layers , group layers and many more 

    Layer masks: 

you can add masks to your layers and use them to hide portions of the layer and reveal the layers below.

Masking layers is useful for combining multiple photos

so, summary of my understanding and research of Layer masks in photoshop is used to change the visibility of a single layer in an image, can be used to hide specific areas of a selected layer within an image or to make other areas of a layer visible using the brush tool to highlight segments of the image layer
