Animated gifs
Animated GIFs are a type of graphic image format that can be animated by combining multiple still images or frames into a single file. They are commonly used on the web to add simple animations or short clips to web pages, social media posts, and messaging apps.
The word "GIF" stands for Graphics Interchange Format and was first introduced in 1987. The original GIF format supported only 256 colors and a single transparent color, but newer versions support millions of colors and transparency.
To create an animated GIF, you first need to create the individual frames of the animation. These can be created using various graphic design software or by capturing a series of images using a camera or screen capture software. Once you have the frames, you can use an online tool or software to combine them into a single animated GIF file.

Animated GIFs can be used to convey emotions, demonstrate how something works, or simply add some visual interest to a website or social media post. However, it's important to keep in mind that overly large or distracting animations can be annoying to viewers, so it's best to use them sparingly and with good judgment.
